I have a Netware server that most of the data has been moved off. Created a new Veeam job so I would get a smaller vbk file for our back up as the windows server the data was moved to is now a larger backup.
The Netware job is still the same size .vbk. Is this because veeam can not read the nss file system and does anyone know a way around this? I also purged the file retention on the server so it seems to be backing up free space. Thank You

Re: Novell VBK space issue
Hello,
Please read this post, it explains why the size remains the same. To solve the case, you should run a utility which is similar to sdelete on Windows platforms (sorry, I don't know about similar utilities for Novell). You may also want to run defrag on that filesystem. Hope this helps!

Re: Novell VBK space issue
Thanks for the reply. You can not defragment a Netware server per all the articles I found. I can not find a program or utility to do anything similar to sdelete to zero the volume
