I've always found Backup Copy Jobs to be the most difficult concept to grasp in Veeam, so apologies if the answer to this question is obvious!
Our backup windows begins at 18:00, and is mostly complete by 19:00 (incredible short duration, compared to our previous backup system).
There's a file server backup that continues for a few more hours - due to guest indexing, and an Exchange job that takes a number of hours because of a large merge.
Generally, the remaining two jobs are complete between 23:00 and 00:00
Historically we've scheduled our Backup Copy Jobs to Data Domain, to begin at 00:00. This fits well with our backup window, but really it was set to that time, purely as a marker for the new day.
Recently however, we've noticed that when our Exchange Backup Job overruns - the secondary Backup Copy Job remains on hold until it's complete.
So, is there an optimum start time for Backup Copy jobs - as they are by far the slowest jobs and require the greatest window?
Does it make sense to schedule them directly after the parent Backup Jobs, +1 hour, or after all the jobs have completed?

Re: Optimum time to schedule Backup Copy Jobs
Yes, the recommended approach is to schedule them right after the backup jobs start (+5 mins), so that the backup copy stand still waiting for the new restore points to appear and start copy data immediately.
