Hello, I am new to veeam and am looking for a way to execute a script on the target machines pre-backup. I have several machines that are running Sybase SQLAnywhere 10 databases, which are not VSS aware. There is a dbbackup utility that we use to back up the database as a scheduled task. I have scheduled veeam to do its backup a couple hours after that runs, but i'd like to be able to do it together.
Any suggestions on how to best handle this backup scenario are welcome!
Thanks

Re: Pre-backup script, SQLAnywhere 10 (non-VSS)
You need to use VMware prefreeze/postthaw scripts functionality. Please search the forum for existing topics regarding this. Thanks.

Hi.
You can also use powershell script to launch a sequence of actions such as:
1. run dbbackup.
2. start veeam job(s).
3. send email report with results of previos actions.
