Preview look at Veeam 9.5 and Nimble Storage Integration

As a part of the Veeam Vanguard program, I have been given access to the beta version of Veeam 9.5. And in this blog post I will cover some of the integration components between Nimble Storage and Veeam, announced by back in April. If you have been following the Veeam forums, then you’ll know that there is a very active post where the forum users are all pitching in which storage vendor they think should be next to get integration.

Note: This blog post content is created from a beta version of Veeam 9.5, any features, dialog boxes, names and such are subject to change before the final public release.

Hi there,
i've to seize this thread... as i've a small side question to the "nimble" storage Integration...

we've learned that with nimble there Comes a new "Storagesnapshot Veeam Explorer" for direct Application Consistent Restores from Snapshot, does this "Explorer" works with other Storage-Snapshots too, like NetApp Storage Snapshots?

What are you referring to as Veeam Storage Snapshot Explorer for direct Application Consistent Restores? Ability to restore VM as a a whole as well as granular objects, such as SQL, AD, etc. from storage snapshots? Application-consistent storage snapshots (NetApp)? Something else? Thanks.

Basically, yes, Veeam Explorer for Storage Snapshots works with any of the supported storages, though some of them have certain limitations in terms of backup and restore, which you can review visiting the link Vladimir has provided above.
