Problem reinstalling Veeam Backup

Hi,

i have problems reinstalling Veeam Backup & FASTSCP 3.0.

After installing it successfully, i get error message while starting the application:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Only the welcome-screen is showing.

Anyone knows this error?

Hello,

Please send us veeamshell.log from Help|Support Information to support@veeam.com, so we could investigate that issue, by the way why are not you using Veeam Backup and Replication 4.0? :wink:

Hi! VEEAM Backup 3.0 was running very well. So why to change a running system. Otherwise the support for upgrading was expired in September. :wink:

Hello,

It is very good to hear that your 3.0 version is running as it should be, however there are lots features available in VBR 4 that are really worth upgrading. :)

Please note that if your maintenance agreement expired in September, you are currently not eligible for technical support either.

Hi,

it is not possible to get a log-file. i can´t open Veeam. can i find the log on harddrive?

Hello kaysus,

You can find the log files under current user profile, the link should look like the following:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Veeam\Backup

Sure, this is what I've been doing here last 2 years non stop :D but if you have an issue that requires investigating the logs and possibly involving development - it has to be passed to our technical support. This has nothing to deal with the fact that your maintenance is expired. We ask everyone else to do the same (see big red message after you click "New Topic").
