Hi,
I have a remote site with a Vsphere environment.
We have a physical repository at the site and we have also made it a proxy.
In the backup I have selected just that remote proxy to mange the job.
However my concern is that 60+ jobs on our B&R server are set to automatic selection and can see this new proxy. I would hope Veeam is clever enough to know that this proxy has no access to any of the other infrastructure so would be of no use to the jobs, however I have had previous with proxy behaviour in the past so my concern is that Veeam will use this proxy for other jobs and cause the backups to fail.
Is there away to exclude this proxy from automatic section rather than having to manually edit 60+ backups?
Will Veeam prove me wrong and not use this proxy for any other backup?
Thanks
Iain

Re: Proxy Selection
Hi Iain,
There is no way to exclude the proxy from automatic section.
However, this proxy will be on the lowest possible priority (please review Proxy selection process)
Probably you’ve been facing some bugs in proxy selection behavior, but now the process should be more flawless.
To be on the safe side, you can use this PowerShell script to update your job settings.
Thanks!
