Quantum DXi and Veeam DMS (VDMS)

Hi,

We have a production unit who want to use Quantum DXi storage appliances (DXi 4800) with Veeam.

My understanding is that, for Veeam, DXi's comes under the denomination of "Deduplication storage Appliance", which requires a Enterprise or EE+ edition.

But :

• We are able to create a Backup Repository on these DXi appliances, even when a Veeam 10 Standard.

Sorry... it asks for the licence at backup time.

Correct, you should be able to add such repository even with Community Edition to perform restores from it. However, backup activity to it will require Enterprise edition. Thanks!
