Hi Everyone,
This thread is very old, so I decided not to post on it: veeam-backup-replication-f2/replicating ... 22351.html
I can think of one great reason to replicate the Veeam server: Replica metadata
Simply protecting Veeam with Configuration Backup is not enough to capture Replica Metadata and in cases where migrating to a new location and/or upgrading the underlying OS, you want that Metadata. True, there are simple copy&paste ways to move the metadata (if you are aware beforehand), but Replication runs on a schedule and keeps your Metadata up to date.
Hope this is helpful.

Re: Reason to replicate Veeam Server / Replica Metadata
Hi John, sure, you can replicate the Veeam B&R server, but replica metadata, if not available, will be recreated automatically during the next job run, so it is not something you would regret missing.
