Hello,
we have evaluated several deduplication solutions including windows dedup and a few external storage device..
With most of them performance suffers significantly.
Have there been any performance tests with the new REFS integration? I know that it can cause more random IO but other than that the impact should not be that big?

Re: REFS Performance impact
Hi, Markus. Actually, our ReFS integration does not do dedupe. Rather, it prevents duplicate blocks from appearing in the first place. As such, there's no data rehydration required when reading data from ReFS volume, so there's no (zero) I/O penalty. Thanks!
