Renaming components

Post by TitaniumCoder477 »

I have always wondered about the potential negative consequences of the following, and now that I am refactoring some of our clients' Infrastructure components and Job names, I figured I would ask:

Scenario 1: Job is running, and I rename the repo it is using
Scenario 2: Job is running, and I rename the proxy it is using
Scenario 3: Job is running, and I rename the job itself

And by "rename" I mean within Veeam itself, i.e. on the Backup Infrastructure tab, not anything to do with the actual physical or virtual hardware.

Thanks!

We work in the background with IDs, so maybe the log file of the current job will report a mix of old and new name or just the old name until job starts again, but beside this nothing would break. It would be likely a bug otherwise.
