I'm planning to replace our existing Veeam Backup 4.0 server with a newer model.
I'm looking for advice on he best way to proceed after VB4 / MS SQL Express is installed on the new server & ESX LUNs presented to Veeam server etc...
Would it be OK to re-create all the existing VB4 jobs on the new server, and point the new jobs to the existing destination folders where the previously created vbk & vrb's already reside?
Or would it be best to use the newly recreated VB4 jobs to initiate full backups?

Re: Replacing existing Veeam server
Hello Sip,
Basically, in order to keep all your configurations and not to re-create all the jobs you may move your old Veeam DB to a new machine, and point Veeam Backup and Replication to that DB during the setup process, the easiest way to move Veeam to another machine.
Thank you.
