Replica Seed
with server 2008 coming to EOL, we are migrating these servers over to 2016. the biggest issue i see, will be replicating these NEW servers over to our DR site, one of the servers is over 2tb. so there's no way we will be able to replicate this server over our mpls backbone in a reasonable time, while still replicating all of the other production VMs. will it be possible for me to perform a full backup of this server to an external drive, travel to the DR site, and use the full backup as a replica seed? once it replicated, i can then use it as the seed from then on. i can deal with the calculating disk digest operation on the first pass. any other ideas are welcome as well.

Re: Replica Seed
Hey Blake,
That's correct, replica seeding is the best way to move such a big server to the DR site.
Please review this KB1760 it contains helpful information. Thanks!
