Replica seeding

Post by ns00h »

When you setup seeding for a replica job and map it to an old replica how does that work if you choose a different datastore in step 2 of the replication wizard than where the current replica exists which you are mapping to? Does it create a new replica in the selected datastore and delete the old replica? Or create a new replica and leave the old untouched? Or just move the old replica to the new datastore?

Thanks
Nathan

Hi Nathan, for mapped replica the datastore settings specified on step 2 are ignored. You can move the replica VM to the desired location before mapping into it. Thanks.
