Hi.
For a fast replication from an old hyper-v cluster to a 2016 S2D cluster;
would it be supported to connect an usb 3.0 device to one of the S2D host and run a backup copy job for the backup files (and use that as a source for replication)?
The customer has appx 5 TB data in the old cluster and only a 50Mbit WAN connection. the old cluster and backupserver is located in another datacentre than the new cluster.
I think with installing a virtual VM with VBR on the new S2D cluster, setup backup copy jo bot usb-drive 3.0 at targetcluster, i can import the backup, and replicate from the usb and down to the target.
Any views/recommendation?

Re: Replicate to storage spaces direct
Hi Frank, why do you prefer backup copy to direct replication with WAN acceleration? Or do you mean initial seed?
