Replication over WAN

Does anyone know where to modify the SQL tables in order to point a replication job at a remote server with a copy of replicated vm. I want to do a local replication of a vm and then copy the files to a remote server on the other end aof a WAN link and modify the SQL tables to point at the remote server?
