Hi,
We're running out of space and tried to shrink a reverse incremental backup but it hasn't worked. From reading this thread it appears it never will
Remove clients from a backup but VBK file never shrinks
By the looks we need to recreate the job with some servers removed to reclaim the space.. My question is - if we delete the existing backup files (*.vrb, *.vbm and *.vbk) from disk, update the job by removing servers, the next time the job runs it will recreate the job from scratch? We're not missing anything or need to do anything more.
Thanks

Re: Rerunning a job
Hi, if you start the job by running Active Full, it should not complain about missing previos backups (unless there is a bug that I am not aware of). Thanks!

Re: Rerunning a job
Cheers Gostev!
So delete backup files run "Active Full" and we should be all good.
Just one more thing - Why do we run "Active Full" and not just "Start" the job after deleting the backup files?

Re: Rerunning a job
Start will perform normal incremental job run, and thus will complain about missing files (because it relies on them for source-side dedupe).
