Hello,
if i'll restore an SBS VM, that is the only Domain Controller in my scenario, the non-authoritative restore that is made by veeam is sufficient or do i reboot, for a tirth time, the VM to do an authoritative one?
I've understood that the first boot of a repaired DC is always an automatic DSRM boot to perform a non-autoritative (GREAT MAGIC FUNTION) restore of AD, but if the DC is alone is the right practice?
I think if there isn't any other DC from which record the AD changes the non-authoritative should be right, is it a correct concept?
May i stop the first non-authoritative and perform anuthoritative one, before the second boot?
thanks

Re: Restore an SBS dc
Hello Carlo,
Restorting SBS server into a single DC environment should be equal to restoring just a single DC, authoritative restore is not required in this case.
Please take a look at existing topics for more details: Veeam B&R v5 recovery of a domain and Active Directory and DR Site
Thanks.
