In our Veeam 4.0 restore tests we've seen some "not enough disk space" errors even when looking to overwrite an identical VM (in which case there should be plenty of disk space, since it deletes the original VM). Is this because Veeam first checks for disk space before checking for an identical VM to overwrite? If so, would it make sense to have it first check for overwrite THEN for disk space? Currently we have to go out of our way to manually delete the original VM, defeating the purpose of overwrite capability. I don't recall this being the case with 3.1.
Or am I missing something? Thanks

Re: Restore disk space
Hello Doni,
Yes, unfortunately, the dialog box offering to overwrite existing VMs appears only when you have enough free space to restore a VM additionaly to the original one. It's a bug.
However, if don't you have much free space available (like in your case), this dialog box doesn't appear, but if you click to continue in the check free space box, the restore process will start on and overwrite your original VM.
This behaviour with free disk space check will surely be fixed in our future releases.
Thank you.
