Restore Oracle Database faile ORA-00205

Hello.

I try restore Oracle database on another server with path diferent.

The the result is failed with this messages:
Failed to mount database instance. ORA-00205: error in identifying control file. check alert log for more info.

Any idea?

Hello,

Please provide a support case ID as requested when you create a new topic about a technical issue. As explained there, we cannot troubleshoot technical issues effectively over the forum posts. All posts about technical issues without case ID will be eventually deleted by the forum moderator.

Looks like the error comes from Oracle and not from our code, you may have a look at this article and this one to get a better idea of the error. Anyway, our engineers need to check the debug logs and probably examine your infrastructure to find out the root cause.

This is more a Oracle issue I guess as RMAN can not find the control file:

For restore to other server you need to prepare a lot of things and use a specific Oracle RMAN specific procedure.
It is documented here deeply and you can use this script to not have to do everything manual:
