Hi
We're using Veeam 10, and to give you an idea of our environment, we have our main server room where the VM environment is, then another server room where our backups are kept.
In order to test our DR solution, we can disconnect the backup server room from our main server room. However, when we do this, and try to restore, the job gets stuck on 'checking locations'. It eventually errors out, but can take anything between 5 - 10 minutes. It has only done this since we upgraded to Version 10 - it never done it in any previous versions of veeam.
I know this is a problem with the backup server not being able to see the main server room, as when we leave the link in, then the restores work fine, and it goes past this screen really quickly. As far as i know, i don't have any locations set up.
Is there anyway around skipping the 'check locations' part of the job (i'm assuming there is a setting somewhere, but i can't find it), or will upgrading to version 11 resolve this?
Thanks

Re: Restore stuck on 'Checking Locations'
Hello! No, there's no way to skip this check at the moment. Thanks.

Re: Restore stuck on 'Checking Locations'
seems this is still happening years after this was reported.
Are we able to skip the server check or bypass it?
