My question:
I took over the existing Veeam procedure and trying to get some solution. There was job setup during the week and a synthetic on Saturday. Unfortunately, the schedule was set from Monday to Friday. So, the incremental jobs were run and the synthetic did not because it was out of the schedule. Now, there are a good amount of differentials on the target location and i'm cleaning out this ..
I've set the schedule to span from Monday to Saturday, which will include the synthetic backup. Now, once the synthetic job ran, will it clean and remove all unnecessary VIB files according to the retention time that is set for each job? I'm just wondering...

Yes, that's correct. As soon as a new VBK file is created, then the retention policy will delete all unnessessary restore points. Should more info be required, please check out the link below:
