Script to check database in surebackup and return result

Post by staun »

I am trying to write a script that select data from a specific database during a Surebackup job. The script works fine, but I would like to return the result back to the job window log or mail being send. It seems that I can only get the job to succeed if the scripts EXIT Code is "Success" - anything else will result in a failed job.

Hope you understand what I need to accomplish.

Hi Jørgen, yes, I believe I'm getting your need right, but let's consider it as a feature request, since you cannot do this in the current version.

thank you for your reply - hope it will be available some day, it can save us some time (several hours every week) in restoring databases, make some select-statements to ensure the DB consistency.

FYI, you can not check the status in the GUI but if your scripts writes to the console, you can retrieve that in the logs. I believe the statements are tagged with [console] or something like this. Default log location is C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\<job name>
