Do we have some recommendations around performance best practices for oracle 19 on physical Linux server using the RMAN plug-ins.
The customer has a couple of large instances averaging 30 - 40TB size. Would appreciate any help to estimate how we can meet the customer's backup window requirement of 8 hours for full backup.
Thank you.

Re: sizing best practices for Oracle RMAN using plug-in
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Important is to use the latest version as we improved speed. For sure, the backup storage must also be fast enough
Best practices are available in the best practices guide. Also make sure, that there are enough tasks slots are available on the repository (5 tasks per CPU core is the recommendation). Create extra repositories if there are "collisions" with existing ones.
Best regards,
Hannes
