[Feature Request] - Skip Oracle Databases
Hello,
I'm having this issue with a costumer that have this particular request, he whats to have the capability to skip Oracle Databases from Applications Awareness processing.
He says that since his using Oracle (Linux VM) with pluggable databases, the job always finishes with warnings related with this task "Unable to perform application-aware processing of Oracle database (SID: +ASM)".
From the monitoring point off view this produces allot off false positives, and it's hard to manage.
Regards
Paulo Jose

Re: [Feature Request] - Skip Oracle Databases
Hi, Paulo - I am pretty sure this is already available via registry settings (for Windows) and configuration file edit (on Linux) starting from U1. Stay tuned. Thanks!

Right, to disable Oracle processing without having to disable application-aware processing, you need to create VeeamOracleAgent.xml file in the folder where oracleagent is located on guest (/tmp by default) with the following string:
Code: Select all
<config DisableOracleProcessing="true"></config>

Hi foggy and Gostev,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Just one note, i don't want to disable Oracle from application-aware processing, just some databases.
Another good example for this, imagine that you have one Oracle server with some DB's with Archive Logs, and others without. How can we disable Application-aware processing just for does Databases?
Regards

To skip just NOARCHIVELOG mode databases, use the OracleSkipNoArchiveLogDB property in the same configuration file.
