Veeam 7.0 SP3 on virtual server with 4 vCPU and 16GB memory. Underlying hosts has enough resources. 8 proxy-servers, 25 repositories. Number of VM's about 2.000.
On the same server also runs Enterprise Manager. Normal SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU12 (not Express).
Issue: when clicked on Backups, Disk or Imported, it takes the first time when the GUI has started about 20 seconds before anything displays. First 5 seconds of hourglass and after that the spinning stripes.
The second time when you click things will be displayed in less then 10 seconds.
Question is: what exactly happens when yo click on Imported. Will it go throught the database to get the information and is that the reason it takes so long? How can we speed up this process.
Has it anything to do with the History retention of 52 weeks?

Re: Slow browsing Backups Disks Imported and searching
Hello,
Slowness in GUI might, indeed, be caused by many records of job sessions stored in the configuration database. I wonder what our technical guys from the support team can say on this. Do you have a case opened on this?
On a side note, can you please tell me why do you need 52 weeks of job history? Have you considered using Veeam ONE as a reporting tool for backup data?
Thank you!

Indeed 52 weeks is a bit long. This is the setting for the customer. We give it a try to reduce it to 12 weeks for example.

If there is no policy defining these 52 weeks, I would suggest going with lower retention period. If it does not help, then our technical team would be happy to assist you.
