Space problems in scale-out

Post by guillenet22 »

The case number is # 03575936.
I am starting to use veeam.
I want to make a backup of a VM that has 2 disks (760 gb and 320 Gb) each.
I have 6 500 GB disks each as repositories.
Form a scale-out repository with all of them.

The job fails with the 760 GB disk due to lack of space with the legend:

Code: Select all

Error: There is not enough space on the disk. Failed to write data to the file [G:\Backups\VM_XXXXX\W2008 R2 - XXXXX.vm-371D2019-05-22T121434_51EC.vbk]. Failed to download disk. Shared memory connection was closed. Failed to upload disk. Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}.
I use Veeam 9.5 4a.

The situation looks expected - single backup file cannot be split among multiple extents, and none of the available extents seems to be able to host backup file that big. Thanks!
