SQL backup without backing up the server

This may be a silly question, but is there a way to just backup SQL databases without backing up the server? When creating the job, you cannot skip picking the server to backup.We would like to be able to manually backup just the databases and not also backup the Windows server as well. The windows server would be backed up daily, just get request for backing up the SQL DB during the day so want to do the backup of just the SQL DB and skip backing up the actual server.
