The customer requirement is to give their DR the least SQL data loss reasonably possible without having to app-aware process the machine for replication every hour or two.
Currently considering replicating to our Veeam DRaaS and also cloud connect backup to our Veeam BaaS.
I gather that you cannot ship transaction logs as part of a replication job. But if they ship them to the cloud at regular intervals (hourly or better), could we fail over to their replicated DR servers and them use the backup with transction logs to restore and/or roll-forward the SQL database on the replica?
Thanks

Re: SQL Transaction Logs and Replication
Hi David, yes, this is possible. Please keep in mind, that in this case the existing database on the replica VM will be deleted prior to being restored from the backup with subsequent logs replay.
