I upgraded Backup and Replication to v8, and changed my jobs from reverse incremental to forever forward. I made no other changes. My jobs always ran successfully prior. Now my backup job is giving me warning on 2 domain controllers that it is unable to truncate sql server transaction logs, when Microsoft SQL is not running on either DC. I do not have any warning on other servers being backed up that do not have sql running, and my 2 sql servers and my exchange server appear to backup and truncate just fine.
I am also getting a warning that it cannot use vmware tools quiescence on a linux virtual machine that does not have vmware tools installed (and cannot), but I never got that warning prior to upgrade.
Thanks!
Rick

Re: Success with warnings since upgrading to v8
Rick, while the VMware Tools warning is already a known issue with v8, I recommend contacting tech support with the first warning, since it is an unexpected behavior. Thanks.
