Hi all
Just a quick suggestion for a future update or release. As far as I understand for log rotation in exchange it's needed that veeam can connect to exchange via admin-share / rpc. In our environment this is not possible as we run all veeam machines in a separate network without any access to customers network. Due to security concerns I'm not allowed to allow traffic from this network to customers network directly.
So it would be very nice if there's a way / feature which allows veeam to talk to exchange directly through vmware tools (?) or other measures.
Thanks in advance
Christian

Re: Suggestion - Exchange Backup
Christian, these forums is the right place for placing suggestions regarding Veeam products.
However, in this case, what you're talking about is already available. There's actually no need for the backed up VM to be accessible over network at all, as in this case the job will fail over to VMware Tools (VIX) API to perform all the required activity. And in your case inverting the priority of protocols might be handy.
