ID:<REMOVED BY MODERATOR>
Hello all,
I have a question when I run my Surbackup job and it starts the machines it doesn't automatically connect the network adapters and the pings don't go through. In my Virtual Lab I have several different vNICs. Do you know the problem ?.

Re: Surebackup Job / Network adapter didn't connect automatiquely
My guess is that you have a linux system.
Many Linux distributions bind the IP address to the MAC address.
By default in VMware, the VM configuration for MAC addresses is set to dynamic. In case you restore the VM (or use SureBackup which creates the VM) the MAC address will change and your IP address do not get bound to the new MAC address.
You have 2 options. Change the VM cofiguration of the VM to statis MAC address usage and set the IP information again (then backup and try SureBackup again => Ignore the double MAC address warning as it runs in different networks). Or you can change the configuration of your Linux system in a way that they IP is bound to the network card in the same PCI(e) slot. Depending on Linux Distribution this can be done differently => Google.
If you have an older Windows 2008 System there, please use Windows Update to the latest patch level, this should address it.
Btw. this is a perfect example were SureBackup is doing it´s intended purpose. It shows you that at a restore you would run into trouble (loosing your IP configuration) and that you have to change your configuration of the VMs for this.

No, it's the contract number. I checked in our Portal. There are no cases with that number.
Only the contract number of the license which leads to the company.

I removed the number as it is not a support ticket and the contract number is confidential information.
