Hi,
I am trying to find a way to trigger a replication job after a SQL log file backup. I have tried setting the replica job to run after Transaction Log Backup, but I am guessing because the job looks like it is running all the time there is no stop trigger after the transaction backup to trigger the replica.
I'd like to avoid just running the replica on a schedule as the replica can collide with the SQL backup. The retry works but it gets closer to the next replication interval.
Am I missing something or is this just not possible? I did a search of the forum but didn't find anything that could answer my question.
Regards
Gary

Re: Trigger replication after log backup
If enabled, SQL log backup job is always running. In other words, there is no job's end after which post-job command can be triggered.
However, given Replication Job performs copy only operation, there should not be any collision problem. Or do you see the opposite behaviour?
Thanks.
