Unable to add a hardened repo - Rocky 9.5

Post by mvalpreda »

Getting an error when trying to add a Rocky 9.5 Linux hardened repo

Code: Select all

Starting infrastructure item update process
Connecting to server via SSH
Checking if Veeam components are supported by Linux server
Installing Installer service
Setting backup server certificate
Resolving backup server certificate's thumbprint
Setting backup client certificate
Restarting Installer service
Connecting to Veeam Installer service on server Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 172.16.44.35:6160
Uninstalling Installer
Failed to save Linux server: Single-use credentials require Veeam Data Mover service installed.
Infrastructure item save failed Error: Single-use credentials require Veeam Data Mover service installed.
Not great with Linux and just trying to see what needs to be done to get this working.
Followed the directions for Rocky Linux 9.5 at https://www.veeam.com/blog/rocky-linux-veeam.html and https://www.veeam.com/blog/install-disa ... itory.html

Have a support contract, but I have tried to open a case on 2 different computers in 2 different browsers and get a message:
Something went wrong.
We're having technical issues.
Stay calm - our IT team is already solving the problem.

Thinking/hoping it is something simple and someone can nudge me in the right direction,

What I can suggest in case you're not great with Linux is to consider using Managed Hardened Repository instead. With this you won't need to learn anything new or have our support engineers troubleshoot custom Linux installs.

And kindly do not just ignore multiple forum rules with your future postings here:
This forum is also not an alternative way to get technical support if you're unable or unwilling to work with our Customer Support department for any reason at all.
Never post log snippets as they trash the forum for no good. Full debug logs are required for troubleshooting, and log analysis is automated.
I did notify Support Management of the possible issue with the Customer Support portal though, thanks for the heads up. They will contact you in case they don't find any issues on the infrastructure side.
