Unable to Export or Restore SQL Dev Schema

Post by GenericUser321 »

Hey Guys,

In trying to restore or export a SQL Schema on a 2008 instance we are getting this error:
4/03/2016 4:15:20 PM 10 (6292) Error: Database 'Data100_2e3c8968-1eef-4759-993f-650175b9ab00' cannot be started in this edition of SQL Server because part or all of object 'data' is enabled with data compression or vardecimal storage format. Data compression and vardecimal storage format are only supported on SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
Database 'Data100_2e3c8968-1eef-4759-993f-650175b9ab00' cannot be started because some of the database functionality is not available in the current edition of SQL Server.

I can restore a database find, just not the schema.

We are currently running a trial so I can;t start a support case.

On the contrary, you can open a support case during a trial: https://www.veeam.com/veeam_software_su ... icy_pg.pdf

Some features of VESQL require the use of a staging server - see the Explorer user guide for a full explanation of what that is and how to configure it. The short version is, some data needs to be temporarily restored to a SQL instance where it can be modified before being sent to your original database. If your original database is on an Enterprise instance and using Enterprise features, your staging server must also be Enterprise.

Thanks I'll have a look for that explorer guide.
