Re: use vbk for new job
Yes, you can map the job to the existing backup.

Re: use vbk for new job
Ok it works for windows repository.
How can I do for DXI ? Is it possible to just moove the content and not copy / paste ?
In the files section on veeam console, I don't have moove option

Mapping functionality doesn't depend on the repository type so you can map the job to backups stored on DXi normally. I'm not sure what and where you're trying to move though.

Re: use vbk for new job
You mean I can just exclude the VM from the actual job and add it to my new job right ?
And I need to wait 14 jours for the message like "vm xxx is not processed by this job anymore" or enable the option to remove deleted VM after X days right ?

Re: use vbk for new job
Re-reading the thread I now understand that you want to take out one of the VMs to its own job, right? Yep, in this case, you need to exclude it from the original job, copy the VM backup along with the VBM file to another folder and map the new job to this backup. The rest of the VMs will still be displayed under the new job, you can then remove obsolete records using the remove missing restore points functionality.

Re: use vbk for new job
Sorry for this late answer.
I try to do what you mean :
I copy last backup chain + vbm to new folder. (it's probably better to rename vbm to find it easely on the map step)
I rescan repository with this folder
I can see disk (imported) with all the backup included in the job.
I use delete all unavailable files from disk
I create new job and MAP the vbm file
I launch the job
=> The job does incremental backup
Perfect
