Hey guys,
first I've never used Veeam before but I am planning to do so.
I've the following use case: Hyper V Server with a VM running on a physical Server.
I want to backup the VM (20gb) on a NAS device.
So far I don't have a NAS and would need to buy one, as you see the "amount" to store is very limited. Can I stick to the lower (lowest) end Synology NAS?
I am open for any suggestions
Thank you

Re: Usecase - Small VM - NAS
Hello, you can do that, but if you have another physical server - then using its disks as the target will be cheaper, faster and more reliable option. Thanks!

Re: Usecase - Small VM - NAS
Thank you for the answer.
But if I use another server as a backup, I simply use the other server as a simple physical drive? I would like to keep the other Server as the backup for running the VMs?
I know that in different environment it would be, but I am speaking about a small business solution. I guess in my case it won't be cheaper.

Correct, you just add some extra drives to that server, and use them as a target.
