We recently purchased Veem and will be soon getting it setup to do backups. Our setup will have Veem residing on our Virtual Center server and doing the API backup method over 4GB SAN.
Our plan is to setup a new VM that will be our SQL 2008 Database server. This server will not only hold the Virtual Center information but will also hold Veem information.
My questions are:
Is there any performance considerations on veem to be using a SQL 2008 VM server as its database? (or does it just store its config data on the SQL server)
If i install veem and target it to this SQL 2008 server and then need to reinstall veem for what ever reason and target the new installation back to the same instance of SQL will all the old data & jobs be there?

Re: Using Veem with seperate SQL 2008 Server
Correct, just configuration data so load is insignificant and great performance is not needed.
Correct, you just reinstall Veeam Backup and point it to the existing database with all data and jobs still there.
