v5 Email Alerts

Post by cdickerson »

Did a upgrade to v5 from 4.3.2, now email alerts aren't working. Worked fine under 4.3.2. Test emails send just fine. Bug? How do I fix?

thanks

This seems to be a bug with the upgrade. With V4 email destination was set globally, but with V5 it's per job, however, the upgrade fails to enable the notifications on a per job basis. To correct you simply need to edit the job properties, on the "Backup Destination" screen click the "Advanced" button, then "Notifications" tab and make sure the "Send email notifications to the selected recipients" box is checked. You can leave it blank to have notifications sent to the globally configured recipient, but the box has to be checked to receive anything.

I suspect this will be fixed in 5.0.1, but might not get automatically corrected for users that already preformed the 4.x to 5.0 upgrade.
