V6.1 Feature- Backup Proxy Server Replication

Saw in the release notes:

Backup proxy server replication. Added the ability for the backup proxy server to replicate itself.

Does this mean if I'm doing local backups at a remote site, those backups can then be synced to a proxy server at my main site? IE- get rid of having to do 2 backup runs (1 for local, 1 for offsite).

No. It literally means that backup proxy VM is now able to replicate itself as a part of replication job, should the replication job be using this backup proxy as a source proxy. In previous version, backup proxy VM could only be replicated by a different backup proxy. And if the customer had only one backup proxy and it was a VM, this meant this VM could never be replicated.
