Greetings!
This post is about Veeam Backup & Replication -- specifically browsing a backup of a VM and extracting files.
Forgive me... my experiencial point of reference is the method in which Veeam Agent for Windows (formerly known as "Endpoint Backup")
With VEB:
Step #1 = the user could open a backup job file
Step #2 = input the backup job's encryption password
Step #3 = (in Veeam's "File Level Restore" window) select "available restore point"
Step #4 = (in Veeam's "File Level Restore" window) browse the volumes/files in the selected restore point
Step #5 = (in Veeam's "File Level Restore" window) locate a desired directory or file
Step #6 = (in Veeam's "File Level Restore" window) right click and select either 'Restore overwrite' or 'copy to'
In VBR:
(not talking about restoring a whole VM to vCenter)
On the standalone host running VBR, Is there a similar/comparable option in VBR to 'browse' a particular backup of a VM and select a desired directory/file to 'copy to' a location on the physical host running VBR?
Thanks!

Re: VBR Guest Backups... browse guest backup + extract files?
Hi Hari,
Sure, what you're looking for is a Guest OS Files Restore: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Basically you can right-click on any of the backups and you will have an option "Restore Guest Files" which will let you start a Windows or OtherOS File Level, and it has CopyTo for a recovery option as well as restore to original location.
