Hello,
since we upgraded to the latest Veeam version, the application aware backup of an oracle database fails with the following error:
Cannot create a shadow copy of the volumes containing writer's data.
Code: Select all
A VSS critical writer has failed. Writer name: [Oracle VSS Writer - FDDB]. Class ID: [{26d02976-b909-43ad-af7e-62a4f625e372}]. Instance ID: [{6a6eb13b-ac0d-41a1-81fd-7cd813f72f32}]. Writer's state: [VSS_WS_FAILED_AT_PREPARE_BACKUP]. Error code: [0x800423f4].
The guest OS is Windows 2003 R2, Oracle DB 11g release 1 version, it could be in the guest compatibility matrix.
I've found this KB
https://www.veeam.com/kb2686, but the DB is already in NOARCHIVELOG mode and consistent state.
Any idea?
Regards
Marco
