Hi!
We have 4 sites with one ESXi server each, containing 1-5 VMs.
Each site contains NAS that we use for our backups.
Can I use one license of B&R, from one site to backup each site to that sites NAS? I dont need to backup over wan to another site.
I ask this for couple of reasons, licensing and performance (using B&R offsite to backup locally without traffic routed over wan).
Thanks!

Re: Veeam B&R licensing and multiple sites
Hi Turo,
You have to license all 4 source ESX(i) servers to backup VM hosted on these sites. If you buy enough licenses to cover all 4 sites, than you can use a single backup server to backup all VMs.
Thanks!

And from a design perspective, install VBR server in one of the site, and only Veeam proxy role on a Windows VM at each site, create 4 backup jobs (one for each site) pointing to local NAS as a windows share or installing also repository role on each proxy.
