Can anyone point me in the direction of a list that details what changes (good or bad) are coming in Update 3 for Veeam Backup and Replication?

Unfortunately, we cannot share all the details right now. As usual, full list of Update 3 features will be available at GA only. But as far as major features, you can see them in this thread.

Hey, I can't wait to start testing the integration between Veeam and IBM storwize + SVC. I have high expectations for this feature. I guess it was not an easy thing to start collaborating with IBM, they are not that "open" to other vendors.

i'm currently testing it like described in the KB:

But i get the following error when i want to import the exported configuration.xml
"Failed to perform the operation.
The configuration file you are trying to import does not match the product edition


Would be really great if we could push the Setup with a new Backup Job directly from the B&R Console!

How about the Veeam CDP? Will that be available in the update? I'm trying to plan out a project and i'm relying on that feature. The Snapshots are causing use issues with some of the applications so i would be forced to use vSphere replication. Please don't make me use vSphere replication. lol

Could you give as an insight as how the agent deployment works? Or should i just go to the Veeam Staff at the NetApp Insight?

Can i expect the Agent Deployment to work with a Wizard where i have to type in the Hostname + Credentials and then configure the Job like when i configure the Job in the Veeam Agent itself?

Will it be possible to point a Client to a new Backup & Replication Server? (With the Config Import it works like a charm).

Yup.

Veeam B&R is capable of acquiring standalone backup agent (even if it’s already installed).
