Hello,

Can someone please update the Veeam Backup & Replication Console to the latest version on the website?

We install our client on a steppingstone environment where we don't have the ability to update the client when connecting to an upgraded VEEAM server

We have Veeam Backup & Replication Console Version: 12.1.0.2131 running and after trying to apply the update zip file found in https://www.veeam.com/kb4510 we get the error:

This Veeam Backup & Replication installation cannot be updated automatically please contact Veeam customer support, which I did but get a general answer back on how to upgrade the client.... while specifically mentioning a steppingstone environment.

we don't have the ability to update the client when connecting to an upgraded VEEAM server

The console will be upgraded automatically as soon as you connect to your B&R server with the patch installed. Can you please clarify why it's not possible to connect your console to the B&R server?

Hi Dima,

It's installed in a an app-v, which we've been doing for many years.

I'm not sure if there are any logs to be provided, we're basically trying to upgrade the stand alone console version, I've installed the patch on a Engineering environment (server and console) and that went fine but that doesn't help me in the situation described here. I've typed the text from a screenshot. If you can point me in the right direction I can ask the installer to provide the logs.

We've had issues before we had to become system using pstools but we've also tried that.

It would be way easier if you can just provide us with an updated console.

Thank you for the case details! Regarding the logs we need entire C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp from the machine where you've tried to patch the remote console. Can you please upload it to the case details?

Just to say I would also to have separate console installer available.

I would be more and more useful if admin rights would be actually mandatory only when installing product and not when connecting to VBR.
My use case is deploy console in VDI infrastructure (Horizon) on virtual desktops and logging in as a not-administrator user.
