Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
Hello experts,
I read that with Veeam Community edition, you can have VeeamZip backups for unlimited VMs even after the 10 instances have been used by regular VM backups (https://www.veeam.com/blog/backup-repli ... ption.html). However, when I try to take a VeeamZip backup (right click the VM > VeeamZip or VeeamZip to C:\Backups), the "license has been exceeded" error still occurs and no backup is taken.
What is the procedure to take VeeamZip backups for other VMs that are not protected by the "10 instances" limit?
Thanking you in advance and have a nice day.

Re: Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
Hello,
Are you trying to back up a single VM by VeeamZIP?
Is it the most recent version of Veeam B&R Community Edition?
It should work.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
Hello DGrinev,
It is VBR 9.5.4.2615 Community Edition.
There are more than 10 VMs. We chose the most important 10 and configured regular VM backup jobs for them. We wanted to use VeeamZip for the rest but it always gives an error of "license has been exceeded".
Thanks.

Re: Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
Backing up several VMs at once by VeeamZIP is considered as a paid feature. Try again by picking one VM at a time, that should work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
Actually, we are not trying to back up several VMs with VeeamZip at once. We are getting this issue when we select VeeamZip for 1 VM. What we did is right click 1 VM > VeeamZip or right click 1 VM > VeeamZip to C:\Backups.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Veeam community edition and VeeamZip
It has been fixed in the Veeam B&R 9.5 U4a (build 9.5.4.2753).
Please update the product to the most recent version.
