Veeam Proxy and Replication Hardware

Post by andrewfox68 »

Hello

We currently have our Veeam proxy and repository roles on the same hardware. We are able to add another physical server to the environment which will enable the roles to be separated between the hardware. Tthe new hardware will be much more powerful in terms and CPU and memory than the original server (which is 5 years old). Is there a recommendation on which hardware should run which role?

Thanks

Andrew

Are you doing File Compact or Health Checks? If so, put the Repository on the better hardware so it has as much horsepower as it can.

That would be my recommendation.
