Veeam skiped half of the VMs

Post by TomD »

Hi,

We are trialing Veeam backup, we did successful few smaller jobs. Yesterday we tried to do around 60 VMs during the night, came in the morning and it says that only 36 were done other were not even attempted.

We run Veeam on 8core server, Windows 2008 R2 with 6GB of RAM. SAN is FC connected, Veeam has access to all LUNs.

Here is some sample logs how it looks like - 36 of 61

36 of 61 VMs processed (1 failed, 4 warnings)

Total size of VMs to backup: 1.62 TB
Processed size: 1,009.09 GB
Processing rate: 36 MB/s
Start time: 26/05/2010 18:00:14
End time: 27/05/2010 02:02:12
Duration: 8:01:57

Processing object "svhg03" (36 of 61)
Job has failed unexpectedly

we did review logs but could not find any reference to missing v- machines?

We run version 4.1.1

Anyone can advise ?

Hello Tom,

It's hard to say what went wrong without seeing the full job log files. Please refer to our support team directly for assistance with this issue. By the way do you have the same disk configuration for your failed VMs, are they located on the same ESX(i) host/datastore?

Thanks!

Hi,

there are 5 ESX hosts in the cluster, failed VMs are on random ESXs and random LUNs, since it is trial version, is there any support for that ?

Thanks

This is possibly the same issue as the one described in the stickied thread in this forum, and there is a fix available.

Andrew,

Could you please tell me your case number, so I could have a look at the ticket state?
