Hi.
Im having difficulty getting my windows accounts for guest indexing to work. As it stands right now it seems that you can either use the builtin Domain Administrator Account or the Builtin Local Administrator Account. Are these my only two options ? I have tried to create another Domain Administrator Account does not seem to work. Furthermore you cant have Local Administrator Accounts unless i'm missing something.
What are the best practices for these and security concerns. I would like to deactivate the Local Builtin Domain Administrator Account and it is only Veeam that is stopping me from doing so.

Re: Veeam Windows Accounts
Hi,
For clarity, are you attempting to index a domain controller or a member server?
There should be no issues with using a specifically created service account which only has local admin rights on the specific member servers which require guest indexing.
Certainly there is no need to use domain administrator accounts, unless you are dealing with a domain controller.
