I would like too make backup of virtual mackines from different domain trees.
Is that possible to do by VeeamBackup 5.0?
I have tried, byt is unable to make a SOAP Connection when using user from the other domain witch vCenter server is not joined to.

Re: VeeamBackup 5.0 backup vm´s from different domains
Hi Brian,
Where do you get this error from? Veeam B&R server should be on the same domain as the vCenter Server you trying to add (or at least there should trust-relationship between two domains). After successfully adding the vCenter Server you can backup any VM that is managed by this vCenter Server.
Thanks!

Re: VeeamBackup 5.0 backup vm´s from different domains
Now it works:
We have an old vc and a new vc-1.
VeeamBackup 5.0 is taking backup of vm´s via vc.
We have setup a new vCenter vc-1 in a other domain.
I have connected vc and vc-1 to VeabBackup without any problems.
The problem is when i whant to make a SOAP Connection to the net vCenter vc-1.
To make this connection, i have to use a user from the new domain, whitch is not possible because VeeamBackup is om the old domæin.
What i did not se was that i could make a SOAP connection by using the local administrator on vc-1
Then it all worked.
