I use ServerAssist to monitor all services on our servers, and I'm noticing that periodically a service called VeeamVssSupport stops during a backup job. ServerAssist sees this and immediately starts the service.
I don't see this service in the Services list. Should I?
Should this service be stopping?
Should I tell ServerAssist to no longer start this service when it sees that it is stopped? Normally I would just set the service to Manual start (provided that the calling application knows to start it) because ServerAssist ignores all services which are marked as Manual.

Re: VeeamVssSupport service periodically stops
Hello Mike, VeeamVssSupport is not a service, and you should not see it in the Services list. It is non-persistent runtime "agent" that is automatically deployed to VM when you perform backup, and it is normal that it stops during backup (after VSS freeze has been performed).
